NBC Fall TV Shows 2023: The Complete Schedule and Premiere Dates

Chicago, you're toast! Like many broadcast networks, NBC will not be airing most of its scripted shows — including Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med — due to the ongoing strikes by actors and writers as they request a fair living wage from the studios who would rather hold on to as much money as they can. But an optimist might look at NBC's schedule and see that it has a clear advantage over the competition with new seasons of four scripted series while everyone else airs a game show.

Thanks to uninterrupted production on some shows that aired last fall and some new series that had off-cycle production schedules, NBC has options that CBS, ABC, Fox, and The CW do not. New shows The Irrational and Found will get boosts from The Voice on Mondays and Tuesdays, respectively, while Season 2 of Quantum Leap and the second half of Magnum P.I. Season 5, which was originally scheduled to air in midseason, will air on Wednesday nights. Canadian drama Transplant, now in its third season (which already aired up north), will also air this fall on Thursdays. (A previous premiere date of Oct. 5 has now been moved a week later to Oct. 12.) New seasons of shows in the Chicago and Law & Order franchises, as well as returning comedy Night Court and Jon Cryer's new comedy Extended Family, will return at a later date. 

Coming later in midseason will be new seasons of Law & Order: Organized Crime, La Brea, Lopez vs. Lopez, and Password, as well as new additions to the America's Got Talent and Deal or No Deal franchises, and a new docuseries called The Americas. NBC previously canceled Grand Crew, American Auto, and Young Rock.
